Nagu Shrine Autumn Festival | Kyoto Pref |
---|
Funaki-no-odoriko
The festival features large numbers of floats with twelve dancers and a devil parading through the district. Dancers use three different instruments, larger drums, Kakko (smaller drums), and Sasara, a set of two types of sticks to sound a Japanese percussion instrument. This is a unique ritual dance in ancient style called “Furyu.”
