Inabe Jinja Ageuma shinji
This is a Shinto ritual, which is said to have started during the Kamakura period (13th century), to predict how rich or how poor the harvest of the year will be in Toin town. The festival features young horse riders of 16 or 17 years of age in beautiful warrior costume including flower hats, jumping over a cliff about two and half meters high. Viewers will be moved by the power and tension that riders and horses generate.
