“Onioi” means kicking off devils and “Dengaku” means a style of dancing and music originally performed at agricultural festivals. Onioi Dengaku in Kongoin Temple features two devils of red and blue. They dance around the temple to exorcise and purify for the year while swinging torches and big weapons.
