Introduction of The Festival
Okubo Odori | Hyogo Pref |
---|
Okubo Odori (dance) is said to have originated from the story when Saizo, a farmer in the village, was excuted because of his appeal to the local administrator about their miserious famine situation in the Tenmei period (1781-89). Villagers started to dance to appreciate his action and ease his soul.
