Introduction of The Festival

Ogo Hachiman Shrine Oyumi Shinji Hyogo Pref

“Oyumi” means bow and “Shinji” means Shito ritual. This is a year-beginning event to pray for a fertile harvest. Four archers shoot at a target in which a devil (oni) is confined. After that rice cakes are scattered over the people attending the festival.
