Tsuinashiki (a ceremony of driving out evil spirits) in the Shofukuji temple is said to have originated from the success story around 1000 years ago. A young priest from Mt. Koya, ordered by Ichijo emperor, prayed for purifying evils which often appeared and attacked travellers at Kanoshishimatsu pass in Kobe City.
