Haigyu Nosonbutai Tokushima Pref

Awa Ningyo-joruri puppet play in Nosonbutai theater

The theater is estimated to be built in the late Edo preriod (1603-1867 A.D.) and is one of the oldest buildings in the prefecture. It was designated as a tangible folk cultural asset by Naka Town in June 1991. It stands quietly in a sacred atmosphere surrounded by mountain streams and giant trees.
