The festival features the king dance, shishimai (lion dance) and Ogoheitsuki, a unique Shinto ritual using Gohei (a wooden wand used when performing exorcism). In this shrine a real pine tree cut in four sun (12 centimeters) square and six shaku (182 centimeters) long is used for Gohei, which is broken to pieces by being hit on the ground.
