Introduction of The Festival

Myojinbayashi Fukui Pref

Myojin-bayashi (Myojin Accompaniment) is a Taiko (Japanese drums) play dedicated to the Tsurugi Shrine. It seems to have started a long time ago because the revived ritual record in 1663 is found. The current performance is held on stage separated from the original festival which includes other programs, named Owatarishiki.
