The festival maintains traditional protocol such as rice farming rituals. First, the ritual is held in the evening. Secondarily, the language used is old Japanese in the Edo period (1603-1867 A.D.). Thirdly, almost every process of the rice farming is included such as the performance of scaring birds away from paddy fields.
